Vector shares how he met wife Yinka Coker at a club, saying their relationship proves love can come from unexpected places

Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector Tha Viper, has revealed that he met his wife, Yinka Coker, at a club, saying their relationship challenged the assumptions he once heard about finding a suitable partner in nightlife spaces.

The rapper shared the story during an episode of the MENtality podcast, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Banky W, where he discussed relationships, personal choices and the importance of making individual decisions when choosing a life partner.

Vector explained that although some people believe clubs are unlikely places to meet someone suitable for marriage, his experience with his wife has been completely different.

“I met my woman in the club. You will not believe she is super homely. Who would have thought?” he said.

The rapper revealed that one of the things that caught his attention was seeing Yinka Coker rapping Heavy D, describing the moment as part of what made their first meeting memorable.

Vector said people should be careful about relying too heavily on general advice when making personal decisions, especially regarding relationships.

“So, you can’t take advice when it comes to a life partner. The typical advice that I heard before then was that there were no good women in the club,” he said.

The story has attracted attention because of the rapper’s message that meaningful relationships can develop in unexpected circumstances.

He, however, clarified that seeking advice from trusted people remains valuable, but individuals must ultimately decide what works best for their own lives.

“I am not saying you shouldn’t take any advice. You can have a few people who give you good counsel, then on your own, you can decide what works for you,” Vector added.
