The singer made the revelation during a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, where he opened up about the severity of his condition and its impact on his daily life and career.

According to him, the eye condition has progressed significantly despite undergoing surgery in the past, leaving him with severe visual impairment.

He explained that his current state is so serious that there is little difference between his condition and complete blindness.

He said: “I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. Despite being a glaucoma patient, many people don’t know. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now, but no one knows because I don’t let my condition weigh me down.”

Despite the health challenge, Remi Aluko noted that he has chosen to remain mentally strong and avoid depression, stressing that he continues to adapt to life with resilience and self-care.

“I thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed,” he added.
