Nigerian Afrobeats singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has been celebrated by fans and admirers across social media as he marked his 29th birthday with heartfelt tributes and goodwill messages.

Omah Lay 29th birthday celebration gained momentum after fans flooded X, formerly Twitter, with prayers, congratulatory messages and praise for the award-winning artist’s impact on the music industry.

A fan page dedicated to the singer, @omahlaynews, kicked off the online celebration with the message, “World Omah Lay Day. Happy birthday to the Greatest.”

Omah Lay also joined the celebrations by sharing a photo of himself on X and asking followers which of his songs first made them fans.

The post quickly attracted thousands of reactions from fans, many of whom described the singer as relatable, emotionally expressive and influential in contemporary Afrobeats music.

Several users praised the Port Harcourt-born artist for creating music that resonates deeply with listeners, especially through songs centred on emotions, heartbreak and personal struggles.

One fan described him as “the best therapist,” while another referred to him as “the soundtrack for our emotions.”

The singer rose to prominence in 2020 following the release of his debut extended play Get Layd, which featured hit tracks including Bad Influence and Lo Lo.

Omah Lay later expanded his international profile with projects such as What Have We Done and his debut studio album Boy Alone, earning widespread acclaim for his unique sound and introspective lyrics.

The music star also won the coveted Next Rated award at the 2020/2021 Headies Awards and recently earned a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance for the song With You alongside Davido.
