Olota of Otta City People Award

The Olota of Otta, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, received the City People Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to Otta’s development and promotion of traditional institutions, pledging to do more for his people

His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D., the Olota of Otta, has been honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the renowned media organization, City People Magazine.

The well-attended ceremony took place on Sunday, 25th May 2025, at Etal Hall, Ikeja, Lagos.

Presenting the award on behalf of City People Magazine, the Chairman and CEO of Biscon Communications, Chief Bisi Olatilo, praised Kabiyesi for his exemplary leadership.

While I sincerely appreciate this honour, it is indeed a call to do more for my people who have remained steadfast and supportive.

He noted that the award is well-deserved, given His Majesty’s exceptional contributions to the growth and development of Otta, as well as his unwavering commitment to the promotion of traditional institutions in Nigeria and the diaspora.

Responding, Kabiyesi expressed deep gratitude to City People Magazine, led by Dr. Seye Kehinde, for the honour bestowed on him.

Kabiyesi further commended the media outfit for its consistency, professionalism, and integrity built over the years in the industry.

“While I sincerely appreciate this honour, it is indeed a call to do more for my people who have remained steadfast and supportive,” Kabiyesi stated.
