Obasanjo, Abiodun to attend Canada trade expo

The Pre-Conference Abeokuta 2023, scheduled for October 23 at the June 12 Cultural Centre Kuto-Abeokuta, the state capital, is set to welcome notable dignitaries.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, and the Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Babatunde Adeyemo, are among those expected to attend the forthcoming Canada Trade Mission ’24.

This pre-conference aims to mobilize artisans, local talents, and various stakeholders from different sectors of the economy, preparing them for exposure to global markets, including Canadian consumers and investors, as well as other parts of the world.

According to the organizers, Obasanjo is slated to be the chairman of the occasion, while Abiodun will serve as the distinguished guest of honor. Adeyemo has been designated as the guest speaker for the event.

Other distinguished guests anticipated at the event include the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, who will hold the role of royal father of the day; the Iyalode of Yorubaland, Chief (Mrs) Alaba Lawson, as the Mother of the day; and Tunde Kilani as a guest of honor.

Additionally, the event will feature guest speakers such as the Permanent Secretary of the Ogun State Ministry of Culture & Tourism, Mrs. Oluwatosin Oloko, and Mr. Abiola Odetola, Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Job and Employment Creation.
