The Nigerian Government has sanctioned the inaugural edition of the ‘Ipada 2024 Carnival’, designed to boost tourism and strengthen ties between Africa and the global diaspora.

The Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Lola Ade-John, announced that President Bola Tinubu granted this approval on Tuesday in Abuja, emphasizing the importance of the carnival, which is set to take place annually in the Ibeju-Lekki region of Lagos, close to the Lekki Deep Seaport.

This endorsement represents a pivotal advancement for Nigeria’s tourism sector, enhancing the nation’s status as a prime location for cultural heritage and diaspora tourism.
