Sharing the news on her Instagram page, Hilda Baci revealed she initially struggled with how to announce the honour.

She admitted delaying the unboxing, filming, and writing because she did not want Nigerians to accuse her of being obsessed with her past achievements.

“I’ll be honest. When I received this recognition as a Guinness World Records Icon, I wasn’t sure how to share it,” she wrote. “Not because I wasn’t grateful. Far from it. But over the past few years, I’ve sometimes wrestled with the fear of being defined by a single moment.”

Hilda explained that gratitude eventually overcame her fears. She described the award as far more meaningful than a title, representing her full journey, sacrifices, lessons, growth, and the support of many people.

She gave glory to God first, then thanked her mother, her partner, family, team, friends and fans for their unwavering belief in her. “I receive this honour with humility, gratitude, and a heart full of appreciation,” she added.

Hilda clarified that this is not a new world record but a special lifetime recognition by Guinness World Records that celebrates individuals whose achievements and influence have inspired people globally.

She said she accepts the Icon status for 2027 with immense gratitude.

The heartfelt post has drawn widespread admiration from fans who praised her honesty and vulnerability.
