District 9112 Set to Host Rotary Leadership Learning Seminar This Weekend

Rotary District 9112 Leadership Seminar holds in Lagos, featuring John Momoh and Dr Tunji Funsho ahead of the 2026 to 2027 Rotary year

Rotary International District 9112 will hold its Rotary Leadership Learning Seminar from 20 to 21 February 2026 at Orchid Hotels, Lekki, Lagos, as part of preparations for the 2026 to 2027 Rotary year.

Rotarian Layi Abidoye, District Governor-elect of Rotary International District 9112, announced the programme, describing it as a mandatory leadership seminar for district officers invited to serve in the incoming Rotary year.

Rotarian Layi Abidoye said the District Team Learning Seminar remains central to Rotary’s leadership development framework, reflecting Rotary International’s enduring commitment to capacity building, knowledge sharing and service excellence.

The Rotary District 9112 Leadership Seminar will feature prominent speakers drawn from media and public health sectors.

Among them is John Momoh, veteran broadcaster and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Channels Media Group.

A Paul Harris Fellow, John Momoh is scheduled to speak on the theme, “How the Media Can Influence Ethical Leadership.”

Also billed to address participants is Tunji Funsho, Past District Governor and one of Africa’s foremost public health advocates, widely recognised for his leadership in polio eradication initiatives.

Tunji Funsho will present a paper titled “Leadership: Not for the Weak-Hearted.”

Organisers said the seminar is expected to provide a powerful platform for strategic reflection and practical learning as incoming district leaders align priorities for the new Rotary year.

Corporate sponsors supporting the initiative include Anergy, FastCredit, Nigerian Breweries Plc and NASCO Group.

District 9112 leadership expressed confidence that the seminar will attract robust participation from district officers determined to strengthen Rotary’s impact and deepen community service delivery across Lagos and adjoining areas.
