Davido Media House Plan emerges as the Afrobeats star reveals he would have built a label or media company without a music career

Davido made the disclosure during an interview with PlayKisstra, where he spoke about his passion for entertainment, entrepreneurship and the alternative paths he believes he could have taken.

The Davido Media House Plan reflects the singer’s belief that his interest in the entertainment industry extends beyond performing and includes business development, artist management and content creation.

“I’d probably be a label owner or have a media house because I’ve always loved entertainment. Even if I was working in my daddy’s office, I can see myself having a side business like a music label just because I love music,” Davido said.

The Grammy-nominated artist explained that his passion for entertainment has always been part of his identity, suggesting that he would have remained connected to the industry even if he had chosen a different professional route.

Davido also highlighted his educational background, noting that he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and could have pursued a traditional corporate career.

“I have a degree. I have a BSc in Business Management, so I can go to Barclays here and try to get a job. You know what I’m saying? I could get a job. I got a résumé,” he added.

The singer’s comments underline the business mindset that has accompanied his music career, with Davido previously involved in several entertainment and commercial ventures alongside his work as an Afrobeats performer.

Known for global hits and a strong influence in the African music industry, Davido has built a reputation not only as an artist but also as a figure involved in shaping entertainment opportunities for emerging talents.
