The announcement was made during a press briefing on Wednesday, where organisers unveiled details for the show’s 11th season and confirmed that the latest reward would become the largest cash prize in the programme’s history.

The BBNaija 2026 season marks another major milestone for the popular reality show, which first debuted in 2006 and has grown into one of Nigeria’s most watched entertainment programmes.

The N160 million prize surpasses previous editions, reflecting the continued expansion and commercial success of the franchise.

Ahead of the new season, organisers conducted physical auditions across Lagos, Abuja and Enugu from May 22 to May 24, 2026, giving aspiring housemates an opportunity to compete for a place on the show.

The auditions were free and open to applicants aged 21 and above who provided valid means of identification.

Over the years, Big Brother Naija has produced several entertainment personalities and created a platform for contestants to build careers in media, fashion, music and entrepreneurship.
