Speaking at the 4th Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI) in Abuja on Thursday, Musawa highlighted the power of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage to foster national cohesion, drive economic development, create jobs, and enhance innovation.

“Integrating art and culture in public sector planning helps forge shared identity among Nigeria’s diverse populations. Cultural industries—from crafts and music to film and heritage tourism—can expand exports, attract investment, and reduce overreliance on a narrow economy,” she stated.

The Minister urged supportive policies, enabling legislation, and sustained commitment to embed creativity into governance, noting that this is essential for sustainable development and strengthening institutions.

Musawa also acknowledged the role of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila in inspiring Nigeria’s next generation of public-service leaders through the LMI programme.
