Power of 1 Nollywood movie

Power of 1, starring Alexx Ekubo, questions the risks of celebrity activism in protests. The Nollywood film is now streaming on YouTube

Nollywood star Alexx Ekubo takes on the controversial subject of celebrity activism in *Power of 1*, a thought-provoking film now streaming on YouTube.

Produced by Innocent Idibia and a team of top Nigerian filmmakers, *Power of 1* highlights how a single decision can upend a celebrity’s career and personal life.

Written by Efe Omorogbe, the film follows the story of Legit, a successful hip-hop artist who unknowingly sparks a movement.

What starts as a simple protest soon spirals into chaos, leaving him to face the harsh consequences of his actions.

As Legit challenges the government on behalf of the suffering masses, his once-glamorous life unravels, dragging his loved ones down with him.

The gripping drama raises a crucial question: Should celebrities engage in political activism, or is the cost too high?

Featuring an all-star Nollywood cast, including Ramsey Nouah, Annie Idibia, Jide Kosoko, Jibola Dabo, Michele Dede, Rachel Oniga, and Lucy Ameh, *Power of 1* delves into the evolving role of social media in activism. The film sheds light on the price public figures pay when they choose to speak out.

With its compelling narrative and stellar performances, *Power of 1* offers an unfiltered look at the delicate balance between influence and responsibility. Watch it now on YouTube.
