International Tourism Movie, “180 Nigeria”, Starring Toke Makinwa In Works

Toke Makinwa is all set to take on the lead role in an upcoming international tourism movie titled “180 Nigeria“.

This Nigerian media personality and internet sensation will play a central role in the movie which promises to take the audience on an exciting journey.

The film is a family-oriented production that aims to showcase Nigerian culture, traditions, values, significant landmarks, and the people themselves.

“180 Nigeria” will be produced by Pinnaclemena Media Nigeria in collaboration with Oxygen and the Temple Company, who officially announced the project’s details during a press briefing held at Ogidi Studios in Lekki, Lagos.

Toke Makinwa, who also serves as the project’s executive producer, expressed her excitement about the compelling script and its powerful message to humanity. She shared her desire to explore the role of an executive producer and actively contribute to the development of this film, in addition to her passion for acting.

She said,

“As much as I love acting, I have been thinking about the next step in my career, and this movie seemed to be the right opportunity for me to don the hat of an executive producer and have my input in the development of this movie.“

The movie is scheduled to make its debut in early 2024 and will explore ten of Nigeria’s 36 states. Filming will also take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Bunmi Ajakaiye, the director of “180 Nigeria”, described the film as an opportunity to portray African women in a new light. She emphasized her passion for telling stories from a female perspective and capturing the complexity, triumphs, sacrifices, fearlessness, and freedom of African women through her lens.

According to her,

“I am incredibly passionate about telling stories from the female gaze. The African woman is one of the most intriguing, compelling, and complex characters ever – capturing her triumphs, sacrifices, fearlessness, and freedom through the lens will never lose its appeal.”

“180 Nigeria” is being marketed as an ambitious project aimed at rejuvenating the Nigerian tourism sector and making a significant impact on the film industry.
