Laminisa I, HRM Oba Dr. Lawal, marks 15years on throne

On June 10, 2023, the Timi of Edeland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa 1, celebrated his 15th coronation anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.

The event, which was held as usual at Ede High School in Osun State, witness the presence of the high and mighty including the executive governor of the state, His Excellency, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.

Others were the state deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun and other members of the legislative.

Yeyeluwa of Edeland, Chief (Mrs.) Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, Oluomo of Edeland, Amb. Rafiu Adejare Bello, president of Ede Descendants Union, Prof. Ademola Olaitan, and Prof. Tajudeen Akanji, who was the chairman of the central planning committee of the anniversary were also present.

Ilu Ede was packed full with so many royal heads that glorious day with monarchs, chiefs and highly important political personalities in Nigeria made a colourful display in the ancient town.
