NACC Hosts High-Stakes 2026 Economic Talks, Celebrates Odugbemi

NACC’s 2026 Economic Roundtable unites policymakers and investors in Lagos and honours filmmaker Femi Odugbemi for creative excellence

The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, NACC, will host its 2026 Annual Breakfast Roundtable on February 17, 2026, in Lagos, bringing senior government officials, business leaders and development partners together to assess Nigeria’s economic direction and reform prospects.

The high-level forum, themed “Forecasting the 2026 Economic Horizon for Nigeria”, will take place at The Hall, Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Oniru, Victoria Island.

It is expected to provide a decisive platform for dialogue on economic stability, growth and investment opportunities.

The event will be hosted by the National President of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, Alhaji Sheriff Balogun.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, Dr Tayo Aduloju, will deliver the keynote address, setting the tone for discussions on fiscal policy, structural reforms and private-sector confidence.

A special presentation on the Nigeria-United States economic and commercial outlook will be delivered by Dr Michael Ervin, Political and Economic Section Chief at the United States Consulate General in Lagos.

The Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce, Nigeria, Dr Raymond Ihyembe, will also present a goodwill message.

Discussions at the NACC 2026 Economic Roundtable will focus on macroeconomic stability, inflation control, exchange rate dynamics, fiscal sustainability, job creation and economic diversification.

Particular attention will be paid to growth potential in non-oil sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications and the digital economy.

A distinguished panel featuring representatives of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank Group, the ECOWAS Commission and leading business associations will provide expert insights.

Contributors include Dr Christian Ebeke, Nigeria Country Representative of the IMF; Dr Samer Matta, Senior Economist for Nigeria at the World Bank; Prof Kenneth Ike of the ECOWAS Commission; Engr Jani Ibrahim, National President of NACCIMA; and Dr Tope Fasua, Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters.

The session will be moderated by international economist Dr Adesuwa O. Erediauwa.

Beyond economic policy discussions, the Chamber will honour renowned filmmaker and media entrepreneur Femi Odugbemi with the Creative Industry Excellence Award.

The recognition celebrates Odugbemi’s influential contributions to African storytelling, film, television and creative entrepreneurship.

Femi Odugbemi, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zuri24 Media and co-founder of the iREP International Documentary Film Forum, is a multiple award-winning filmmaker and a voting member of both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

His screen credits include Tinsel, Battleground, Brethren, Covenant, Gidi Blues and Bariga Boy.

Organisers said the award reflects the Chamber’s commitment to recognising innovation and leadership that support Nigeria’s economic diversification and global competitiveness.

The NACC 2026 Economic Roundtable is expected to attract top executives, investors, diplomats and policymakers, reinforcing its reputation as one of Nigeria’s most influential private-sector dialogue platforms.
